Making Calendula Oil

Beautiful Marigold from the garden left to diffuse in rape seed oil make a healing oil that can be used in lotions, creams soaps or applied to the skin.

Materials and equipment

  • A large glass jar – sterilised
  • Dried marigold flower heads
  • Rape seed oil – enough to cover the flower heads in the jar.

I love using summer produce to create potions for my winter cupboard and in September I will be making an all-purpose calendula hand cream for cold days!

I’ll be back in a couple of months with a hand cream recipe!
